Job Title: Back Office
Reports Directly to: Front Office Manager
Overall Job Purpose
Hotel Cardo Roma, part of the prestigious Marriott chain, is looking for a professional figure for the role of Back Office. The selected person will work closely with the Front Office department, providing support in daily activities, ensuring efficiency in different operations and improving the overall experience for guests. Qualification & Skills
- Fluent in both Italian and English.
- Strong understanding of front desk, guest services
- Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented
- Knowledge of the main IT tools and management software used in the hospitality sector (e.g. Opera, Micros, etc.).
- Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Positive attitude, customer orientation and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience
- Degree or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in similar role
- Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality sector.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Support the Front Office team in day-to-day operations, ensuring that all enquiries and bookings are handled correctly.
- Mobile chat management with guests
- Coordinate communication between departments to ensure that information is accurate and timely, helping to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
- Monitor room availability and work with the Front Office to optimise occupancy and manage rates.
- Management of emails, telephone calls, and internal documentation, keeping the efficiency of daily operations high.
- Manage and archive the necessary documentation, such as reservation records,
guest communications and check-in/check-out reports.
- Supports the Front Office if it needs information or operational updates (e.g. room availability, reservation changes, special guest requests)
- Manage guest stay documentation, including invoices and reporting required for proper compliance with tax and company regulations.
- Provide support in managing the hotel's IT systems, such as the reservation system and company software.
