Job Title**: Head of Accounting and Taxes**
Location: ROME Fiumicino
Reporting to: Finance Director
Swissport Italy is in the process of creating its finance organization to start up the new Italian business. In doing so we have an opportunity for a highly experienced professional to perform the role of **Head of Accounting and Taxes**.
The role involves management of all the accounting and tax aspects of the Italian Stations in cooperation with the local tax consultants.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead a team of three accountants and being the focal point for the local tax consultant
- Provides senior leadership when analysing the different accounting and tax aspects of the Italian Business




- Put in place solid accounting and tax procedures, monitoring the respect of the latter
- Maintain relationship with the External Auditor and the Statutory Auditors
- Maintain proper bank accounting and managing cash flow report
**Qualifications and Competencies**
- MS in Business Administration or similar academic background
- At least 10 years of experience in Accounting and Taxes
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and Italian Tax Code
- Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent planning, communication, problem solving and facilitation skills
- Fluent command of English as the corporate language, and Italian
- Hands on attitude
- Strong positive, service-oriented attitude
- Manage change over cultural boundaries
