New Product Development Process Engineer

Position Summary:
This position, assisting the Process Development Manager, will be included in the technical team, assisting with project management and technical development of Veneta Isolatori processes and new products.
Position Description:
- Collaborate in designing new products from concept.
- Manage engineering changes and new product development as it is released to manufacturing.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and iteration phases.
- Ensure products meet regulatory and compliance standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support process development and process validation to ensure defect-free products to our customers.
- Sort through conflicting data and evidence to determine root cause of a condition or issue.
- Support developing different test methods to analyze and validate products.
- Perform different experiments such as DOE and record results of work performed, conclusions, and recommendations in clear, concise, and timely reports.
- Conduct process audits in association with the Quality department and Operations Manager.
- Develop appropriate processes to ensure consistent product quality and yield for all molded assemblies/parts.
- Participate in continual improvement events and follow-up activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong analytical abilities to sort through conflicting data and evidence to determine the root cause of a condition or issue.
- Knowledge of CAD skills.
- Must be familiar with ISO standards.
- Good knowledge of English (both oral and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within a Plastics/Polymer processing environment or a Master's degree in Plastics/Polymer.
- Experience with lean methodology.
- Experience with product release project management.
- Previous history with molding is a plus.
- Knowledge of fluid dispensing systems or centralized material delivery systems and/or experience with liquid gelation molding and ring line dispensing systems is a plus.
- Understanding of Polymer rheology and test methods such as DSC & TGA.
