Global Order Management Specialist reviews and manages Sales Orders in SAP from the time the order becomes free of holds through to when the order is put into delivery.
The specialist is responsible for both consumable and Large Pack orders (managed orders).
A managed order is defined as an order that contains an instrument or a system, or the complexity of the order warrants the manual attention during the fulfillment process.
The Global Order Management Specialist achieves this objective by working with the manufacturing sites to schedule the order as closely as possible to the desired date of the customer, prioritized based on the collective requirements of all customer orders.
Global Order Management Specialists participate in efforts towards the achievement of higher levels of customer satisfaction and reduced operational costs, by working with the global team on continuous improvement projects across the order fulfillment function.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview orders on receipt for accuracy of data as it pertains to the Consumable and Large Pack process, including but not limited to:
shipping condition, delivery groups, delivery site, HazMat plant, etc.Consider desired customer receipt date.Work with site schedulers and Global Demand Planning team to determine date of earliest shipment for all managed orders, including Large Pack, Demo, DOA, Partials and RIW.Maintain visibility of needs for special payment term orders.Create global delivery, including early global delivery.Optimize timing of shipments to maximize revenue, considering payment terms, revenue recognition rules to react to end of period revenue requirements.Schedule, when necessary,
pre-shipment inspections.Maintain contact with the Customer Care organization until order leaves the manufacturing sites (automated with Delivery Prediction).Reset delivery promise basedon changing conditions in the business and communicate those changes to appropriate business contacts (automated with Delivery Prediction).Communicate trends and issues associated with site fulfillment.Train Customer Care on continual evolving Large Pack process.Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at process enhancement across the entire value stream.
