Role Summary
Euronext Clearing, the Euronext's Central Counterparty in Italy is a multi-asset clearing house that provides proven risk management capabilities on 14 markets, across a range of trading venues including Euronext Milan, MTS, BrokerTec and Hi-mtf. Asset classes cleared include equities, ETFs, Closed-end Funds, Financial Derivatives, Commodities (Agricultural & Energy) and Fixed income (Cash and Repos markets).The Head of Clearing Operations is part of the Clearing organization directly reporting to Euronext Clearing CEO. He is responsible for managing the Clearing Operations team dedicated to the development and the operational management of clearing and settlement services of Euronext Clearing




The Head of Clearing Operations is in charge of the accurate and timely delivery of clearing and settlement services, for domestic and international customers. She/He will also contribute to the internal enhancement process for the setup of the new branch in Paris and the extension of the current operation services and the development of Commodities ones to the wider Euronext clients.
Key Responsabilities
- management and development of clearing and settlement services:
- clearing: margins and default funds payments, collateral deposits and returns, expiries of derivatives contracts, members default management, projects, testing of new services
- settlement: monitoring and management of settlement activities, adjustment management for corporate actions, buy in/sell out management, members default management
- development strategy and its implementation for the overall Operations
- client support in liaison with Sales and Membership teams
- Benchmark functionalities with what is offered by the competition, industry and market trends analysis and determination of new and potential capabilities
- Review, analysis and evaluation of ideas,



projects and opportunities to develop new processes and technologies and business models
- Project delivery for of projects initiated by the Operations department, in line with the PM Policy of the Euronext Group.
Role mission for Euronext Clearing Internalization
- Lead the setup of the new branch in Paris and the extension of the current operation services to the wider Euronext clients
- Responsible of the Design and Value proposition of the operations stream of Euronext Clearing Internalization programme
- Engage with other Operations departments in the Group to understand and assess potential impacts to the trading value chain
- Provide clear recommendations to the senior management in terms of functional priority; and
- Participate actively in projects to secure value delivery.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required




- Extensive experience working in Operations or Risk positions in the financial markets industry
- Good analytical skills and problem solving attitude
- Excellent interpersonal skills - working with teams from various locations and departments, and interacting with varying levels of seniority across the organization
- Leadership skills - ability to bring all team members together to work in the same direction
- Management skills - ability to manage teams, from junior to more senior resources, helping them prioritize, manage risks and leverage / grow their skill set
- Excellent oral and written communication and influencing skills, capable of interacting effectively with business product and operation experts as well as with executive level management
- Capacity to build consensus and get commitment
- Mastering of English as a working language is a must
