CSL Vifor, a world leading Nephrology, Iron Deficiency and Cardio-Renal pharmaceutical company are experiencing rapid growth due to pipeline realization, optimization and global partnership alliances. At this time we are looking to appoint a First Line Sales Manager for the Region of Lazio & Isole (Lazio, Sicily, Sardenia and Calabria). You will lead a team of 8-10 expert Key Account Managers promoting hospital products from our portfolio which is growing. You will be based ideally in the Rome region or one of the regions covered with flexibility to travel.
You will have previous management experience in pharmaceutical sales and be able to guide and direct the team to achieving company targets and servicing customers and patients.
A knowledge of the Italian Healthcare system and market access requirements is essential, customers of the team will include doctors, nurses, pharmacists and hospital managers.
**Responsibilities**:
- To achieve sales targets of products promoted by the sales force
- Implements measures to increases effectiveness and productivity of the sales team
- Ensures the compliance of sales activities with local rules and regulations
Tasks
- Achieving sales targets of products promoted by the sales force
- Contributes to the development of the marketing strategy of products under promotion, including commitment to sales and market share targets
- Defines the sales process per customer segment and implements it within the sales team.
- Supports marketing and local activities, e.g. congresses, and ensures appropriate budget allocation and spending
- In charge of individual management of key opinion leaders and key accounts jointly with medical and marketing
- Increasing the effectiveness and productivity of the sales team
- Continuously monitors and reports on sales, market and competitor performance and adapts activities accordingly. Ensures timely reporting of sales activities
- Develops and monitors the sales force bonus plan.
- Leads the team and individuals according to the situation and objectives. Adjusts approach as required.
- Maintains and builds capability in the team by accessing relevant learning and training solutions.
- Recruit/build/develop and manage a highly effective and motivated team members
- Lead and organize all sales and training meetings and complete all required responsibilities on time and by achieving established standards
- Compliance of sales activities with local rules and regulations
- Trains and enforces adherence to local rules and regulations
**Qualifications**:
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry sales
- Minimum 5 years of experience as supervisor of a sales team
- Documented track record of sales success
- Profound experience in sales management
- Financial and budgeting skills and experience
- Professional level local language,
both in oral and written communications
- Intermediate level in English, both in oral and written communications
- Excellent user of Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Requirements
- Economic and/or scientific academic education
- Documented track record of product launches
- Knowledge in the relevant therapeutic areas
- Good knowledge of and network capabilities in the respective country
