**Responsibilities**:
The Sales Manager shall be responsible for developing and growing the sales of the entire Cappellini product line across all sales channels in Europe and the Middle East. The main sales channels are our network of multi-brand dealers, our directly managed showrooms (DOS) and direct Contract sales. Furthermore, the Sales Manager shall be accountable for delivering the expected sales margin and for diligently managing the company’s pricing and discount policy. The role requires building strong external relationships with our dealer partners and customers as well as with internal functions such as Customer Service, Operations and Product Development.
The Sales Manager shall directly and autonomously manage our external sales agents in key markets.
The Sales Manager shall act as the brand ambassador of Cappellini during trade fairs, company events, client meetings and is responsible for representing the design approach and the philosophy of the company.
**Reporting**:
The role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of Cappellini.
**Main Activities**:
- Actively manage Cappellini dealers in the EMEA region, either directly or through sales agents, ensuring the achievement of the annual sales targets.
- Provide ongoing product and sales training to agents and dealers.
- Ensure an appropriate product presentation on the dealer’s shop floor and display orders for new products.
- Constantly improve the company’s presence across the territory, acquiring new sales agents and dealers particularly in new markets.
- Manage and create strong business relationships with the various Haworth leadership teams across the territory ensuring that company’s products are being specified in Haworth projects.
- Provide ongoing sales training to Haworth and act as the go-to reference person for specific product information/advise, support during tenders, troubleshooting etc.
- Conciliation of possible overlapping/conflicts between Haworth and Cappellini dealers as well as direct sales, and/or clients.
- Ensure that the sales staff is fully committed and dedicating the appropriate time for active project hunting with end clients, developers, A&D; and others.
- Actively manage and acquire new key accounts ensuring an impeccable service and sales growth.
- Organize client visit at the company’s headquarters and production hub in Italy.
- Provide regular sales reporting (including sales forecasting) and market insights to Management.
- Act in a highly professional manner with integrity assuring the best possible impression of the company.
**Experience and Education**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial/Interior Design preferred;
- Several years of sales experience in the high-end furniture retail trade
- Proven Sales history of at least 5-7 years achieving measurable sales goals.
**Technical and Soft skills**
- Excellent computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint).
- Fluent in English, German knowledge will be considered a plus
