Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.We want you as a talented Intern Procurement Engineer to help us in our mission!You will be successful in this role if you are able to help us:Scout, research and contact potential suppliers and evaluate their suitability for our projectSecure delivery of the parts and services required to build our Spacecraft Nyx on time, on costAutomate and digitize the processes related to all of the above in our ERP systemTasks:In your capacity as Intern Procurement Engineer your role will be continuously evolving,



but day to day your duties will include:To actively communicate with suppliers with the goal to deliver valuable information to the team and support a delivery on quality, on time, on costTo support the setup the digital processes for optimising the efficiency of the exchanges between suppliers and The Exploration Company.To evaluate the core competencies of each supplier and mapping to the product roadmap while identifying risksTo interact with all Leads in order to support to define the roadmap for the supply chain of all equipmentTo identify critical information and efficiently flow it to the relevant persons in the teamTo support creation of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs and to support the procurement team during negotiations with suppliersCreate Purchase Orders and track them for delivery and paymentYour ProfileQualifications / BackgroundBachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business AdministrationAbility to prioritize in view of the product roadmapBasic skills to work with risk management practicesKnowledge in purchasing processes combined with a delivery mindsetLooking for a mandatory internshipSkills and BehavioursAbility to work equally well unsupervised or as part of a teamStrong organizing and prioritization of tasksPositive and flexible attitude to get the job doneAbility to communicate at all levels of the businessDemonstrates behaviours consistent with The Exploration Company's core values of Commitment, Innovation, Trust, Quality and TeamworkWhy you should join us!What makes us special here at The Exploration Company and why we think you will enjoy working here is:We're Agile - we make decisions fast whilst keeping our goals and systems in mindWe're Open and Collaborative - we are transparent about risks and obstacles, so that we can cooperate to overcome themWe have a lot of Fun - we refuel our energy knowing we are democratising space.
