Pfizer is hiring a Passionate, Talented, Innovative Medical Affairs Scientist (MAS) responsible for Real World Evidence (RWE) in Rare Disease (RD) Medical Affairs Department.
The hiring of the MAS RD, Real World Evidence fits the iTALent purpose, providing a rare growth and development opportunity to lead scientific innovation in our Rare Disease Therapeutic Areas.
The MAS RD, Real World Evidence will report to the Italy Rare Disease Medical Director.

ensure the best conditions of access to the market and respond to requests from authorities and/or medical departments that support Pfizer breakthroughs that change patients’ lives.- The MAS RWE Scientist supports the Medical Affair (MA) for strategic collaborations with external experts from academia, research institutions and other public or private partners on multiple disciplines (data science, biostatistics, epidemiology, advanced analytics, and AI) to conduct innovative RWE related projects.

- Patient first: great opportunity of partnership with Medical Leads, Health & Value and RWE Leads at a Local and Global level to build a strong value proposition for our Rare Disease assets.- Primary Responsibilities- Identify opportunities for RWE to answer important and relevant research questions in collaboration with the Country Medical team, RWE platform team and, when appropriate,
in alignment with Country Health & Value (cH&V;) team.-
- In collaboration with Medical BU and cH&V; recommend appropriate RWE studies to generate credible and high quality data/evidence that is of direct relevance to local decision-makers including: publications to support local price & reimbursement dossiers according to AIFA guidelines, from first registration to extension of indications (observational studies, epidemiology, natural history, budget impact,...), effectiveness and product use in a real-world setting collected through early access programs or post-marketing surveillance, and possibly address any evidence need that would support local decision-making throughout the medicine life cycle.-
- Coordinate daily activities to ensure timely and compliant execution of RWE strategic plan with appropriate internal and partner analytic resources and tools.-
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs team and RWE platform team to design/develop RWE scientific protocols/studies.-
- Keep abreast of methodological advances, regulatory standards, legal framework and novel trends in terms of use of RWE.-
- Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on standard methodological approaches to support RWE related projects and on how to implement the collection and synthesis of RWD in medical research.- What You Offer
Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of experience working in real world data analytics in healthcare, clinical or translational research, pharmaceutical Research & Development, or similar-
- Ability to independently develop research questions into scientifically rigorous and feasible analytical plans based on best available RWD sources, including explanation of pros/cons for different sources- Strong experience in communicating in verbal and written form with all levels of personnel with diverse backgrounds,
and able to create and deliver clear presentations- Ability to rapidly learn new domains to understand the latest scientific or medical findings and incorporate them into projects as appropriate; to interpret data dictionaries and other technical documentation
