RAILWAY SIGNALLING SYSTEM DESIGNER - TRAINBORNE SEGMENT

Role Overview




The selected resources - acting as part of an agile team aimed at giving a qualified support to the Engineering Dept. within a complex, structured environment with high pitched professional standards - will contribute to the design of a specific technical solution which will fit the clients project needs in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.
The job requires a broad understanding and skills in systems engineering and ability to work transversally with engineering teams.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop the system documents, including plans, specifications and other technical documents in line with the engineering processes;
- Define and maintain Engineering Design QCD targets, in line with Project baselining strategy;
- Ensure that the system technically fulfils the defined needsand enhancements (change requests) and that a proper system engineering approach is being followed;
- Provide technical support to V&V;, RAM and Safety Analysis throughout the development;
- Interact with other System Engineers and with other relevant domain leaders to ensure the design fits into the intended architecture;
- Focus on technical process but assuring that also program KPIs are met, in terms of costs, schedule, lead time and risks;




- Ensure that the system follows standardization approach by reusing existing solutions or by implementing reusable solutions.
Background, qualifications and desired experience:
- BSc / MSc Degree in Engineering (Electronic / Electrical / ITC / TLC or similar field);
- minimum 3 to 10 years' experience in Railway Signalling System Engineer role (Trainborne segment background would be preferential).
