**Purpose**:
As the Marketing Lead for Oncology you will take ownership of and champion the national brand plan, driving a customer-centric approach and aligning with Daiichi Sankyo's objectives. Your role will involve strategic planning, collaboration, and project management to ensure successful brand implementation and revenue growth.
**Key Responsibilities and Performance Metrics**:
1. Financial Planning and Management:
- Develop and justify revenue and expenditure forecasts, ensuring alignment with Italian and European planning processes.
- Monitor and address variance in sales forecasts and cost budgets, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Allocate and control promotional budgets in consultation with the line manager.
- Identify opportunities for synergies within the brand portfolio.
2. Customer-Centric Brand Planning:
- Develop and champion a customer-centric brand plan aligned with Italian and European planning processes.
- Align planned activities and expenditure with brand strategy and European direction.
- Monitor and report on performance against plan, adjusting tactics as needed.
- Foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit within the brand plan.
- Utilize market and customer insights to drive innovation and refine strategy.
3. Collaboration and Services Commissioning:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to define and prioritize organizational goals.
- Commission marketing team members for brand plan implementation.
- Hold individuals accountable for agreed roles and responsibilities.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration and External Engagement:
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and drive successful plan implementation.
- Champion the brand within the organization and leverage media for maximum impact.
- Develop a professional network with key stakeholders to enhance performance.
- Lead key projects across multidisciplinary teams.
- Acts as ambassador for the overall Oncology marketing strategy with focus on cross-functional collaboration and the implementation of marketing activities.
- Drives the cross-functional brand planning and budget process (including the definition of CSFs and KPIs).
5. Leadership and Development:
- Demonstrate strong leadership behaviors and drive high standards within the marketing team.
- Support Daiichi Sankyo's vision and contribute actively to the Italian and marketing team goals.
- Foster personal and professional development within the team.

6. Market Expertise and Decision-Making:
- Maintain expert knowledge of market, competitors, clinical data, and best practices.
- Utilize expertise to inform effective decision-making and counter tactics.
- Foster understanding and collaboration with European colleagues.

- Utilize advanced project management techniques and software for successful outcomes.
- Provide coaching and mentoring support to colleagues in project management.
- Continuously improve processes based on project insights.
**Qualifications**:
**Essential**:
- Extensive brand management experience across diverse therapy areas and customer groups.
- Track record of leading and influencing teams.
- Successful management of multiple projects within tight timelines.
- Budget management and investment decision-making experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- Full driving license.
- ABPI qualified.
- Degree-level education, preferably in life sciences.
- English fluent
**Desirable**:
- Experience in the relevant therapeutic market(s).
- Previous pharmaceutical sales representative experience.
- CIM qualified.
- Project management qualifications.
- International marketing experience.
- Established network of professional contacts.
- Line management experience in related functions.
- MBA
