Job Description: Manpower Professional , a leading company in the design and production of reducers, gearmotors, and variators, is looking for a:
HEAD OF PURCHASING OFFICE.
The selected candidate will be part of the purchasing office and will report to the future supply chain manager.

Key responsibilities include:
Management of the buyer team Management of purchasing team and workload verification Overseeing buyer deliveries and punctuality Managing the entire purchasing process,



ensuring timely deliveries through supplier follow-ups Managing time and costs of outsourced work Defining agreements with suppliers in line with company KPIs Scouting new suppliers and proposing cost containment strategies, achieving savings and continuous quality improvement of supplies and materials Managing active suppliers and developing a performance evaluation system using objective indicators Defining framework agreements through research and visits to new suppliers to verify their suitability, approaching negotiations strategically Collaboration with sales teams (sharing price and market trends, lead times) Process improvement through standardization Constant contact with strategic suppliers Negotiating investments in new plants and related machine setup in collaboration with the plant manager, production manager, and ownership Coordinating and supporting the commercial office for product costing Constant supervision and verification of purchase price updates Supporting the supply chain manager with travel (two to three trips per month)



Preparing reports and dashboards for periodic performance checks of the function Collaboration with other company functions to ensure optimal coordination in purchasing and full oversight of all involved business processes.
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Management Engineering Several years of experience in purchasing in the mechanical sector within structured companies Good knowledge of mechanical design, materials, and mechanical processing Preferable knowledge of castings and stampings Good knowledge of the English language Residence in the province of Bologna or nearby areas.
The ideal candidate possesses good relational skills, is proactive, collaborative, analytical, and capable of effectively managing any critical issues with problem-solving skills.
