Job Description:

We're looking for a medical affairs specialist for our Life science department to help us boost the company to the next level. You should be tenacious and results-oriented, hard-working, motivated to make a big impact, and persevering until the job is done. You should also have an initiative and growth mindset, often coming up with ingenious ways to reach your goals. In addition,



you will be constantly analyzing the market to implement new ideas and opportunities. As an expert professional in your area, you will provide scientific and technical support internally and transmit it effectively to customers and KOLs.

1. Manage the scientific approach of Sysmex Life science products in coordination with Business Line Managers (BLMs) and Marketing Manager (MM), aiming to satisfy customer needs better than the competition with optimal profitability, in accordance with the company's policies and objectives.
2. Plan, implement, and finalize the execution of clinical studies together with customers, generating clinical value of Life science products useful for marketing purposes.

In this role you will:
1. Conduct internal analysis and review of clinical evidence and clinical guidelines relevant for the Life science business unit, transforming this information into a useful format for both the sales team and customers.
2. Stay up to date with the latest clinical guidelines and scientific evidence related to Life science.
3. Maintain customer contact in collaboration with BLMs and Field Sales Representatives (FSRs).
4. Support BLMs in scientific promotional activities like congresses and publicity.
5.



Support the sales network in scientific sessions and clinical studies.
6. Communicate with BLM and MM.
7. Act as the maximum specialist in the scientific area, being the reference person for it.
8. Deliver credible presentations on scientific matters to physicians, individually or in groups (clinical sessions, congresses).
9. Produce and update scientific presentations based on new clinical evidence for internal and external use.
10. Provide field support to the sales force and application specialists on clinical inquiries.
11. Plan internal studies with MM and BLM aligned with Life science strategy.
12. Elaborate protocols according to meetings with investigators.
13. Support investigators on IRB/IEC procedures (protocol, contracts, kick-off, letters, etc.).
14. Monitor recruitment and data (database, queries, status newsletters, etc.).
15. Lead the transformation from data to a published scientific paper in a journal, acting as the reference person for Statisticians/Medical Writers,



and customers/investigators.
16. Monitor and support investigators on the submission process.

Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in science (biology, biomedicine, or similar).
2. Master’s degree in clinical studies.
3. Informatics: MS Office, Excel, database, CRM.
4. Languages: fluent in Italian and English.
5. General professional experience: Technical knowledge of products/IVD Industry.
6. Professional experience for the position: Minimum 1 year in a medical department, ideally 2+ years in a similar position (Medical Affairs, Medical Science Liaison, Clinical Research Associate, or similar).
