The main research topic will focus on the disaggregation (or “agentisation”) of classical macroeconomic models. The objective of the research is to design and analyze interacting agents models, derived from the disaggregation of representative agent models, which often operate in a context of general equilibrium. The research fellow will analyze the relevance of interactions between agents in different network configurations, comparing the results at different scales and different complexities with those of the representative agent models.
To be considered for this position, applicants should have a Ph.D. (or close to completion) in Economics (or a related field). Expertise in advanced macroeconomics and computational economics,
including programming knowledge, is welcome.
The project will be supervised by Andrea Teglio (PI) and Simone Righi at Ca’ Foscari but the work will be developed together with other units of the PRIN, i.e., Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies, University of Genova, and University of Macerata.
