General Dynamics Mission Systems-Italy is hiring a
**LEGAL COUNSEL AND CONTRACTS MANAGER**
**Project/Program Overview**
This role will be a combination of working remotely and onsite at our Rome office.
We have a number of measures in place for onsite working - our top priority remains the health and safety of our colleagues.
Under the general direction of the President/General Manager is responsible for the administration and support of various commercial areas, including: the pre-contractual phase of contract management, contract negotiations, and development, claims management, execution and contract closeout activities, insurance management and management of the internal Delegation of Authority policies.




General support on a variety of legal matters relating to all aspects of GDMS-Italy's activities and operations is also required.
**Essential Skills**
- Degree in Business, and Law or other related field
- Progressive experience in a similar Commercial Services/contracts role with at least 5 years of experience
- Sound knowledge of International Contracts law
- Experience in the Oil & Gas, Defense and/or Critical Infrastructures markets
- Strong written and oral communication; comfortable with conducting presentations and having difficult conversations
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Ability to work with different teams, especially with business development and project management
- Proven interpersonal and team effectiveness skills, focus on improving the overall success of the Commercial Services team
**Ideally, you may also have experience such as the following**
- Development and implementation of commercial and or contractual policies and procedures.




- Business acumen skills to provide superior customer service and providing support to business decision making
Must be able to work in Italy either as an Italian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
**Salary**: €49,000.00 - €50,000.00 per year
