Job Description:Manpower Professional, a leading company in the design and production of reducers, gearmotors, and variators, is looking for a:
HEAD OF PURCHASING OFFICE. The selected candidate will be part of the purchasing office and will report to the future supply chain manager.
Key responsibilities include:
Management of the buyer teamManagement of purchasing team and workload verificationOverseeing buyer deliveries and punctualityManaging the entire purchasing process,



ensuring timely deliveries through supplier follow-upsManaging time and costs of outsourced workDefining agreements with suppliers in line with company KPIsScouting new suppliers and proposing cost containment strategies, achieving savings and continuous quality improvement of supplies and materialsManaging active suppliers and developing a performance evaluation system using objective indicatorsDefining framework agreements through research and visits to new suppliers to verify their suitability, approaching negotiations strategicallyCollaboration with sales teams (sharing price and market trends, lead times)Process improvement through standardizationConstant contact with strategic suppliersNegotiating investments in new plants and related machine setup in collaboration with the plant manager, production manager, and ownershipCoordinating and supporting the commercial office for product costingConstant supervision and verification of purchase price updatesSupporting the supply chain manager with travel (two to three trips per month)Preparing reports and dashboards for periodic performance checks of the functionCollaboration with other company functions to ensure optimal coordination in purchasing and full oversight of all involved business processes.Requirements:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Management EngineeringSeveral years of experience in purchasing in the mechanical sector within structured companiesGood knowledge of mechanical design, materials, and mechanical processingPreferable knowledge of castings and stampingsGood knowledge of the English languageResidence in the province of Bologna or nearby areas.The ideal candidate possesses good relational skills, is proactive, collaborative, analytical, and capable of effectively managing any critical issues with problem-solving skills.
