5 giorni faNIPPON GASES Advanced Control System Engineer Job DescriptionThe position of Advanced Control System Engineer will work with the Italian Operations team and other corporate/regional/plant personnel.
The overall objective of the Advanced Control System Engineer is to manage operations information systems to support safe and reliable operation of production facilities.
This person will have the ability to lead,
work independently and make decisions based on full awareness of cost and other benefits.Key Responsibilities:Define and test standard bulk plant computers hardware (Operations machines);Prepare base image for computers and implement it in the European bulk plants control systems;Troubleshoot bulk plant computers hardware and software; define software upgrades;Validate non-standard bulk plants control system computers upgrades;Test and validate Windows patches;Ensure backups and integrity assurance for standard bulk plant computers;Maintain control systems inventory lists;Maintain Cybersecurity integrity within bulk operations facilities in alignment with IT Department;Manage Operations Network users and provide training;Update selected standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operations network management systems;Implement new projects, coordinating with IT when needed;Provide support for specific applications.This position is primarily office-based but could require Italian travel up to 20% of the time.
Off-hours accessibility (laptop and cell phone) are occasionally required.Required Qualifications:Associates Degree in Engineering or Information Technology Systems;Background in Industrial Gases or Chemical Industry;3 years of experience in information technology in an industrial environment;Proven experience with Industrial control systems (SCADA's, PLC's, etc.)
Windows OS;Basic knowledge of Cybersecurity;Excellent communication skills in English and team interaction;Proven leadership ability;Experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision.Desired Qualifications:Experience with GE iFix and Rockwell products;Experience with ABB, Foxboro and/or Siemens;Familiarity with standard industrial equipment and parts in a continuous process manufacturing environment.What We Offer:Permanently contract;Salary and remuneration will be commensurate with actual experience in the role.About UsNippon Gases is one of the leading companies in the industrial and medical gases business in Europe.
