RINA is looking for a Business Development Manager to join our Industry Business Unit in Bologna.
This new role will be instrumental in the development and growth of Consultancy Services across our industry sectors. We are looking for a Business Manager with an engineering background and experience of working across Industry projects ideally focused on On Premises and Task Consultancy Services to provide the momentum we need to realise our vision and achieve our growth plans.
You will work closely with the Head of the Business Development Unit to strategically and proactively develop new business across high caliber professional services to support our maturing campaign plans.
RINA has a number of capabilities and services that can be offered in different delivery methods. This role requires a suitably qualified individual who has a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
Main tasks:
Campaign planning, support the delivery of the business strategy and plan, contributing ideas and opportunities
Management of an existing portfolio of clients and projects within the Industry market
Focus on new business opportunities for Industry including client visits and customer management
Develop and manage key Stakeholder Plans that will support new and maturing Campaign Plans
Support our focus on customer satisfaction and repeat business
Provide support to ensure success with developing opportunities in response to client requirements.
Update the pipeline/opportunities tool with new prospects to be followed up
Lead and support contract closing activities andcapture lessons learned
Explore opportunities for alliances and partnerships to exploit new markets and opportunities
Work with sister companies across RINA Group to develop ‘cross selling’ and mutual opportunities with clients
Track competitor activity and provide timely updates on competitor news and intelligence to the team
Prepare and submit timely and accurate monthly reports of business development activities delivered and planned
**Requirements**:
Master’s degree in technical disciplines, such as:
bio-medical engineering, management engineering, chemical engineering
Experience on sales and business development activities would be of interest
Experience in biomedical and/or packaging sector would be of interest
A strong and current personal network within the Industry market would be of interest
Significant experience in writing, appraising requirements, business cases and proposals
Excellent knowledge of English and Italian, both written and spoken, are mandatory
You will be a highly motivated self-starter, goal focused and tenacious. Your communication and listening skills teamed with your proactive approach enable you to immediately establish fruitful working relationships with customers and colleagues.
You are able to present ideas successfully and are armed with strong negotiation and persuasion skills. You will have a flexible approach, happy to adapt to changing business needs and at home working under pressure with multiple demands.
