Manage the safe execution of industrial automation projects and their delivery, compliant with agreed contract and project objectives, within schedule deadlines and budget ensuring quality, profit maximization and customer satisfaction.
The Project Manager is the overall Yokogawa focal point for customer, end-user, suppliers, Yokogawa management, and project team and is in charge of the project from contract hand-over from sales until project closing and handover to the Service organization.
Activities
- Support and advise sales and customer organizations with project management expertise in the sales phase, resulting in customer understanding and improvement of Yokogawa’s competitive position.
- Review, clarify,



and accept project objectives, scope, deliverables, budget, schedule deadlines, and terms & conditions.
- In line with the project objectives: devise, conclude, and maintain a workable total project plan to accomplish the project scope within schedule deadlines and budget.
- Work closely with Engineering, Safety, Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Vendors, General Contractors and the Project Team to build and secure support and resources for projects.
- Ensure that project objectives are met by monitoring project progress in terms of technical implementation, changes, resources, schedule, costs, and cash plan and by taking immediate corrective action where necessary.
- Perform strict scope and change control and the most efficient execution compliant with the contract and project objectives, leading to improved financial results.
- Participate in the negotiation of contract changes, and will contribute to the project probability by supporting the sale of extra work orders or other added projects.
- Review the status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports using company tools.
- Effectively use centralized engineering to reduce execution cost.
Basic Qualifications




- Bachelor level in e.g. project management, technical engineering and/or process automation technology, with 5-7 years of work experience in project engineering.
- Prior experience in a Technical Product/Project/Program role.
- Experience in managing and implementing medium-complex projects with low to medium risks.
- Manages the relation with multiple (groups of) stakeholders.
- Experience managing, negotiating, and communicating with internal/external business partners to meet organizational capacity needs.
- Excellent technical comprehension, and both verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, ability to complete a high volume of tasks and projects with little to no guidance and tight deadlines.
- Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or other project management certification
- Proficiency with MS Project and Excel.
- Networking, Digital Solutions, IT/OT and Cloud based solution knowledge




- Experience in management within the Industrial Automation industry would be highly desirable.
