No Offer Description: The objective of this project is to verify the efficacy of small molecules belonging to the CFTR correctors family, in recovering a defective form of α-sarcoglycan (SG)



carrying the amino acid substitution L66H. Activities include: Evaluating viability, proliferative index, and myogenic signature of the cells derived from the LGMD2D / R3. Testing the efficacy of the small molecules in rescuing SG in differentiated myotubes. Performing toxicity tests to evaluate the safety of the different small molecules. The postdoc must have competence and skills in cell biology (to grow, differentiate and treat myogenic cells) and in biochemistry to perform the requested analyses.
