NoOffer DescriptionThe research activity will be aimed at the fabrication and characterization of diamond detectors for electron beams at high energy (6-20 MeV) used in the FLASH radiotherapy technique, useful for its preclinical evaluation.
The research program should cover two basic aspects:Fabricate CVD and HPHT single-crystal diamond detectors with specific design and type of contacts both metallic and graphitic.
The latter will be fabricated with fs lasers, also with 3D structure to optimize collection efficiency and spatial resolution.
The detectors will then be characterized by techniques of dark and photoconductivity in both the UV-visible range and under hard-X radiation (40 keV - 50 keV).Carry out experimental set-ups for the acquisition of the signal generated by the diamond detectors operating in the relevant environment.Eligibility of fellows: country/ies of residence: EUROPEEligibility of fellows: nationality/ies: #J-18808-Ljbffr
