Our client is a private university founded in 1870 and is one of the largest U.S. Jesuit, Catholic Universities, located in Chicago in the United States. Each year approximately 500 undergraduate students pursue a semester of study abroad at the Rome Center.

Position Description

The position reports directly to the Business and Finance Manager and indirectly to the Associate Director of Administration. The position collaborates with financial services offices at the parent company in Chicago.

Duties

1. Accounting and bookkeeping tasks
2. Process student payments of activities and supplies
3. Reconcile bank/cash statements
4. Maintain accounting and other records and documentation
5.



Prepare financial reports and analyses as required

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or similar field
2. Previous experience of at least two years in accounting or financial administration in Italy; preferably with some experience working in English
3. Experience in using accounting/enterprise software; proficient user of MS Office and databases
4. Language proficiency level:
1. Italian: C1 (proficient user)
2. English: B2- C1 (independent user)

Campus and office location: Roma Balduina

Contract: Impiegato Level 3, in accordance with the provisions of the National Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees of the Tertiary Sector, Trade and Services (CCNL ConfCommercio); trial period of 60 days

Full-time permanent position: 40 hours/week; Monday to Friday between 9:00 – 17:30; occasional interactions with US-based teams will require some flexibility due to the time difference; some limited remote working opportunities

Annual gross salary (RAL): depending on experience
