Job Post: Layout & Piping Materials and Piping Class Engineer

The Layout & Piping Materials and Piping Class Engineer reports hierarchically to the Layout & Piping Materials and Piping Class Group Leader.

He/She is responsible for all activities related to the Materials and Piping Class Group for the project in which he/she is involved.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide feedback to the Piping Materials and Piping Class Group Leader concerning problems arising from the application of standard methods and work instructions.
2. Setup and coordinate activities to ensure proper execution in accordance with Codes, Standards, contractual obligations, Engineering Practices, and time schedule.
3. Related activities include:

Piping class development
2. Component specifications
3. Piping specialty specifications
4. Material Take Off quality check
5. Technical bid evaluation and supply follow up
6. Painting Specification development for all Engineering departments and Vendors Painting Procedure follow up
7. Insulation Specification development for all Engineering departments and Vendors Insulation Procedure follow up
8. Quality Control Plan development for Piping Fabrication and Erection, Paint application, and Insulation installation
9. Method of Statement for Piping Fabrication and Erection, Paint application, and Insulation installation

- Review with the Layout & Piping Project Leader the job schedule, highlighting all requirements and technical aspects that can affect expectations and sharing the project execution plan.
- Monitor vendor performance and convey feedback to the Piping Materials and Piping Class Group Leader.
