The Configuration / Deployment Manager will play a key role within the BDAP project at an international institution.
This position supports the design, implementation, and deployment of systems and services across the BDAP infrastructure.
The role involves working in a highly technical environment with a focus on Kubernetes-based deployments, CI/CD pipelines, Linux systems, and cloud integration, ensuring smooth and secure operations for data processing and analytics.




Key Responsibilities Establish and manage procedures for deploying information systems and processing services using Kubernetes.Support the configuration and deployment of processing services for scientific users.Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for data processing and analysis, ensuring seamless integration with the institution's DevOps platform.Assist the BDAP team with deploying Linux nodes on new hardware.Test deployment of processing environments in public cloud systems.Document configurations, routines, scripts, and other work-related processes in the project wiki and code repositories.Technical Expertise: Proven experience in Linux environments (RedHat/Community Enterprise Linux, Debian/Ubuntu) including expertise in bash and Python scripting, along with solid networking knowledge.Proficiency with system and service deployment tools such as Foreman and Ansible.Experience in managing Docker container environments and Kubernetes orchestration.Strong understanding of CI/CD automation tools.Experience with deployment in commercial cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) or cloud platforms based on OpenStack is considered an asset.Familiarity with Proxmox is an added advantage.Seniority levelMid-Senior level
