We are currently seeking a Product Engineer Energy Storage to join our dynamic team in Bologna, Italy!
This position is responsible for supporting the products under the Energy Storage COE during their life cycle, transferring lessons learned from the field to the engineering team, and working with other teams to develop test cases to verify the product features.
Evaluate alternative components and solutions that can be adopted during the product lifecycle.
The AC Power Global Energy Storage COE designs and maintains energy storage systems utilized by the Uninterruptible Power Supply and by the power converters.
Executes engineering tests, verifies that the product meets design requirements, performs value engineering analysis to reduce product costs, and supports field engineers for special applications and field issues.
What kind of work will you be doing?
Coordinate activities with the Service team and provide necessary documentation to start the Change Order processes.
Cooperate with other engineering functions during the definition of product specifications.
Support the testing team in defining the test plan and reviewing test results.
Produce technical documentation in line with process requirements, such as drawings and component specifications.
Work with Manufacturing Engineers to analyze product costs.
Analyze specific applications while providing active support and service.
What will make you successful?
University degree or technical diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Experience in equivalent areas (UPS, Power converter, or low voltage electrical distribution) is a plus.
Excellent planning and communication skills are required.
Good knowledge of electrical power components.
Good knowledge of PLM (Product Life Cycle Management) and processes.
Good team working attitude and communication.
Customer-oriented with availability to travel.
Good knowledge of the English language.
